Phase III Clinical Trials
What Is a Phase III Clinical Trial?
Phase III studies aim to confirm the effectiveness of a drug candidate, collect more safety data, compare the compound to other available treatments, and answer further research questions. Phase III trials are much larger scale than Phase I or II studies, including a few thousand participants on average. This is the final stage before an investigator typically files for marketing approval.
